ARTIST'S STATEMENT

The act of painting is an expression of the wonder I feel when I look at the world around me. I see the gesture of objects in a landscape, or in people as they go about their business. Shapes and color curl around subjects like smoke from a fire and begin to arrange themselves in a picture plane. Watercolor, by it's nature, allows this process to happen as no other medium can. Perhaps, that is why I love it so. I'm finding that oils, pen and ink, and pastels are worthy mediums as well.

I hope you enjoy looking at my creations as much as I enjoyed creating them.
