ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Painting and drawing are a source of joy and delight to me. I find myself "seeing" landscapes, cityscapes, people, and objects in the context of shadow and shape. I throw in a mix of colors, not always true to the subject, but definitely true to the emotional response I'm feeling toward my subject. I'm not choosy about the subject matter as just about anything can capture my artistic interest.

My goal as an artist is to communicate the happiness I feel while in the creative mode, and with any luck, to share that sense of wonderment in the world outside of ourselves.

I hope you will enjoy my paintings as much as I did in creating them.
