Patricia Heller

I am Patricia Heller, formerly of Southern California, and now residing in the quaint town of Cave Junction, Oregon.  I am affiliated with the Illinois Valley Fine Artists.  I am a juried member of Valley Watercolor Society of Encino, CA and the Watercolor Society of Oregon.

My education  in watercolor comes from years of study in the medium at various art schools in the Southern California area.  In addition, I have studied with  such fine artists as Robert E. Wood, Milford Zornes, Henry Fukahara, Carla O'Connor, Mian Siatu, and most recently Charles Reid.

My main love is figure work either from my own photographs, or if commissioned, the client's photos.  My favorite way of working is, of course,  from the actual model.   Many of my paintings are completed in the studio after a plein-aire adventure resulting in a watercolor sketch.

Many of the galleries that I have shown in the past few years have closed,  so the main avenue to see my work is this website.  I participate in the local 2nd Friday Artwalk in Cave Junction and exhibit at  local businesses.  I have been accepted into many shows.  My work is in private collections throughout the United States and in Europe.

P.S.  There is another Patricia Heller who has written a book, but that is not me.
